Chill Folks! Kyunki ‘Daag Achhe Hai!’

Before poor Surf Excel could actually talk of its impeccable washing capabilities (which by the way we are well aware of; remember ‘Surf Excel Hai Na?’ and ‘Daag Acche Hain’), an innocent Microsoft Excel faced the wrath. Some gentleman even took to Google Play, and degraded its rating, stating Microsoft should do its business in Pakistan.

Well! Snapdeal CEO Kunal Bahl on Tuesday shared a meme stating how ‘he knows the feel’.

In Shorts
This was in 2017, when people got confused between Snapdeal and Snapchat,
and gave 1 star ratings to the former.
The uproar was a result of Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel’s alleged ‘poor India’ remark…

Of course, we are Indians.
There is ‘Unity in Diversity’ ingrained in us.
We blindly follow what others perceive, or the way others act.
My point is - people might have different opinions,
what is the harm if one is being a little secular?
Is that too much an insult?
Taking lines from the Indian Constitution,
don’t we describe ourselves as a ‘secular, soviet, social, democratic republic?’
Why all this hate then?

Can’t we for a while sit back and not criticise?
This reminds of my kindergarten days when if
one kid put up stomach pain as an excuse of not attending PT classes.
Suddenly, every other kid had a problem with their stomachs.
‘Some said, “Ma’am! I can’t do PT today, my stomach’s hurting.’
While other said, “Maa’m, my belt is too tight”,
only to realise that he wasn’t wearing a belt!

Kindergarten days are understandable.
We all are young, innocent and immature. But now?
Are we really behaving in a matured manner?
Isn’t it time that we really take onus of our own behavior?

I think it is.

And, the time is now! Let's act wisely!
