What if Harry Potter Casted a Vote Yesterday?

My Facebook timeline was flooded with election updates, as Maharashtra was all geared up for its Assembly elections. Laying on my two seater newly gifted comfortable couch, I had a glance of which all celebs went to cast their vote. Thanks to social media!

When you don't have anything specific in life to do and when you realise that you got ample time laying ahead of you, you secretly take a pace towards the world of the imaginary. And, your ellipses begin…

This morning it was the lion symbolic Gryffindor man Harry Potter and the land of Hogwarts. Harry was busy experimenting with his newly formed magic spell that could possibly replace 'Wingardium Leviosa'. Meanwhile, his nerdy friend Harmione reminded him of their utmost priority for the day. To vote across the Arabian Sea in a land called India, along the shores of this densely populated city Mumbai.

The holy trio (of course they need no formal intro), got their exciting bones operating at full swing. They quickly caught the 4841 Hogwarts Express and then reached the Arabian Sea on their broomsticks. Well if rumours are to be believed then, they stopped by to have 'Seekh Kabab' from 'Bademiyas', followed by three cutting chais.

Since their names weren't enrolled with the Electoral list, they had the liberty to choose between any of them. They randomly shortlisted 'Worli', as Harmione had allotted a special place in her heart for Sachin Tendulkar and casting a vote in Worli might provide an opportunity to bump into the maestro. Also, theWorli candidate Aaditya Thackeray's agitation and tryst with Aarey had been functional for quite sometime!

So Worli it was.

On a bright sunny morning after gulping the sumptuous Seekh Kababs and cutting chai, standing in the queue for long hours seemed to be a horrendous task! Yet perseverance seemed daunting!

Second converted to minutes and minutes became hours, yet there was no sign of the queue getting any slimmer. They quickly began to realise that they would have to cast a spell before it's too late for their return to Hogwarts. 

Just then Harry told her about the pick up line he just rehearsed. 'Aarey Aditya o Sa'. At one point Harmione did try to take it lightly, but Harry seemed stubborn. And ever excited Ron pulled out Harry's magic wand and did the honours. 'Aaaarrrreyy Adiiiityaaaa Oooo Saaaaaa'...

No sooner did he say this, surprisingly everything around him was petrified. Nothing moved. Not the leaves, nor the stray dogs, nor the polling officers. Harry and Ron were just about to shout the candidate's name when Harmione suggested that they needed to use the ballot machine!

Their votes got casted. Am not really sure whether they got 'inked', probably they did. On his maiden voting in Mumbai, Ron suggested that they might stop by to lull over the taste of the local 'Vada Pav', but Harmione reminded them of the last train to Hogwarts!

On reaching Hogwarts, Malfoy prudently had informed professors about the trios' absence. And just about when Professor Snape began investigating, a soothing 'Areyyy Adityaaaa oooo Saaaa' just did wonders!!
