Are You Being True To Yourself?

If at all the word 'accountability' holds true in the truest sense, then I believe the self must have the utmost role to play. All those lessons of you wrapped into an air of honesty wouldn't come into fruition if your heart knows that you are secretly holding a dagger behind those sugar coated words of yours.

Also, what is the point of being so diplomatic that your senses tremble with the thought of looking at the mirror? Leave lying to your mum, friends or partner, when on earth would you stop lying to yourself for Gods' sake?

While scrolling through Instagram, when you find yourself commenting on an exotic picture of your colleague, do you actually mean it? Or do you secretly wish that you had the same life as she did? What about those times when you compliment your best friend stating that she looks ravishing in her scarlet one piece, while secretly you hope that you had a lean physique like hers too!

So very hypocritical right! Very well so.

My question here is do we at all feel at peace within ourselves? Can we really have a sound sleep? Or are we continuously troubled by the existing thoughts, rather self created lies?

Everyone has a different pattern of thinking and all of us react to things in different ways. Some of us might even be okay with how things are at the present moment, and might probably never want to change.

Very well. But what if there's an internal audit happening all of a sudden one fine morning, and you find yourself in shambles? How would you prove your authenticity then? Would you be true to yourself then, or would you end up lying once again, out of your new formed magnetic habit?
