Just Before the Arrival of Dawn

If we look closely, we’d see that nature has been crafted in possibly one of the most prepossessing ways, painted with one of the most beautiful tinges of crimson, magenta, cyan, and purple, and almost every other colour would be distinguishable if one zooms in tries to delve a little deeper…

While still in darkness, and just before the dawn is likely to strike, the branches of medium-sized and gigantic trees sync in perfectly with the birds sitting on them, all set to welcome the arrival of dawn. It so appears that the strays too derive an immense pleasure while witnessing the transmission, wherein the dogs call out to their mates, and the cats indulge in hide and seek.

It wouldn’t be absolutely fair to say that mankind is absolutely oblivious to all such charismatic things happening around, where some set off for their morning runs and others begin their daily chores like the security guards ensuring the building lights are turned off right on time, the janitors maintaining that all the floors of the building are being cleaned properly, and that garbage is being collected…

Amid all other things, one thing that the dawn unfolds, particularly one that’s striking to the eye is the transition from darkness to light; while the twilight in the evening ensures the same as well, yet early mornings are mesmerising and special…

Imagine walking down on one such transitional phase from CST to Marine Drive. Who could have thought that the heart of the city could be this quiet? While walking on the way people could be seen engaging in their daily affairs, like the coolie, the stationary guy, tea vendors and those sellers selling early morning breakfast in the forms of Vada, Usal and Misal Pavs, Poha and Dosas.

The journey seems to be quite enjoyable, as you begin exploring and experiencing everything happening around you under a different lens, perhaps a more colourful one, and it’s there that the beauty kicks in, making everything around you look even more serene and beautiful…

Who could have possibly thought that the all-pervasive beauty that one had been seeking outside, was right there, infront of the eyes? Just that it took a little longer to unleash and discover…

Guess, all of this happened when the mind chose to follow the heart while letting itself loose and just opening the doors far and wide open… And, all of this happened before the arrival of dawn...
