Emotional Well Being

Hello again, my dear readers, what a beautiful day it is. I don’t know whether it's because it’s Holi, or because the weather is simply amazing outside, but I just want to write and write today. And, as you would already know that this blog is dedicated to spirituality, talking about spiritual well-being, and positivity, I would like to draw your attention today to our emotional selves.

In today’s fast-paced world, it is our responsibility to look out for ourselves, and operate with positivity and determination. In the past few days, I have made a persistent effort of staying away from anything or anyone who makes me feel negative. I don’t know why but negative emotions seem to be really powerful and they can really take a toll on you. At least they did in my case.

So, today I am going to be talking about our emotional well-being, rather how one can take care of it. You know there are a lot of times in our lives when we strive to justify our stress level. We say things like, “Oh, but isn't that life?” “Stress is normal, right?” Sure, but why must you take the stress on yourself and ruin your emotional health? That is not how things are supposed to be.

Experts say that one of the major ways of dealing with stress and not getting affected by it could be to follow the path of absolute detachment. In fact, this concept has been highlighted in our scripture “The Bhagavad Gita” as well, where Bhagawan Shree Krishna says that one must never wash their hands of their responsibilities, in fact, they must fulfil their responsibilities no matter what the circumstances, and they should not expect the fruits of their efforts.

In this modern world, when everything happens so fast we cannot really choose to live a stress-free life, nor can we stop working and providing for our family, all we can do is just strive not to be affected by stress, and prove it to ourselves before anybody else that we are much stronger than this, and that we have the power to achieve anything in this world, and I literally mean it.

Sure, it is a common saying that life is difficult, of course, it is meant to be, but you know what, we are tougher, tougher to withstand all the complexities of life, capable of handling anything, and we will turn out victorious. Nothing in this world can stop us, but we just gotta believe in ourselves, and we will be halfway there.

So, if you are someone who is struggling emotionally, just remember that you got this, stress can have its own position, everyone can be affected by it, but not you. You are stronger than this, and no matter what, you will be victorious. Mark my words!
