Pablo Escobar: As I Visualized Him…

My day offs lately encircle around Netflix, and Netflix alone. Yes, Netflix alone is to be held responsible for me skipping meals, refusing to go for a walk, trying a hand at the kitchen, and so forth. And why not? When you have characters like Pablo Escobar and Agent Pena!

Amid all such variables, I have somehow sought refuge in the invincible Pablo Escobar. Yeah, the same villain from Narcos. Who could imagine that such a pleasing personality could be in the leading world’s wanted men? Haha, well that’s the spark and charm of Mr.Escobar.

Of the little days, I have actually interacted with him, an air of optimism has been built. Well, of course I know it’s hard to believe. He is a man to be despised. And the reasons are really not too far to seek. He is a drug lord, a narco terrorist. He has assassinated innumerable men, tortured a hundred souls, etc.

He is ready to go to ‘La Catedral’ and finish his life sentence, leaving his family behind, but won’t leave Columbia. He assures his wife Tata that he and his men would succeed in negotiating with the Government. But the deal never saw the light of the day.

His actions make me believe that he is a believer of stoic philosophy. Seldom would one see him rejoice, and seldom would he be sad…Which person on earth could keep his calm when his beloved cousin brother cum confidant gets killed? Very few I suppose…

The affectionate part of Pablo deserves a mention too. His god fearing mom says, “If Pablo says everything’s ok, means everything’s ok…” To his mom, he is the ideal son, to his wife, he is the ultimate saviour. To his children, he is a shelter and their true hero. I feel the most notable virtue he possesses is probably his composing nature. He never loses his calm, and has a witty solution to each goddamn problem.

He is a man with high held spirits, his dreams know no bounds. By the time he was 28, he had so much wealth that he couldn't even count it! What does one do in such a situation? One makes their dreams come true...

Now as far as my latest obsession is concerned, I am kind of trying to figure out which season to watch again. When it's Don Pablo, then all seasons have the charisma. Ain't they?
