Courage Is Beautiful!

If the deceased could narrate or even record the experiences of their time in this world, they would perhaps dedicate or reserve a special mention for love, determination, and courage. This is probably one of the most eccentric anticipations by a mortal, however, Yours Truly has her abstract convictions create a concrete trough that refuses to budge.
To quote Sir Winston Churchill, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts.” And when the self gets courageous, it passes on the same to the thirsty souls, who have been striving hard and meaning to make a difference to their banal lives. Many a time, weeping or shedding tears have been upheld and characterised to be a mere sign of weakness, and being feeble. However, little is it heralded that it takes courage not to hold back on emotions and acknowledge it…
American business reality show ‘Shark Tank’ has aired various such instances where people presented business ideas that probably couldn’t be brought into fruition, yet the investors (or the Sharks as they are called colloquially) managed to oblige, until this one lady, who kind of forced the sharks to take a rain check, as her product idea was simply to make eye extensions soothing, and that certainly wasn’t a business model that the sharks would be willing to invest in. On gauging the seriousness of the situation, and also understanding that she was subjected to ridicule, her emotions perhaps refused to withhold themselves and showed up in forms of wet eyelashes, and handkerchiefs.
Not succumbing to the pressure from the ambience, even while she was disdained, all she did was to put up a brave face, gently dabbing the water remnants from the corner of her left eye, and muttering to the world. If the memory could be relied upon, her words were. “I don’t believe that crying is a symbolism of weakness. Instead, it takes courage to cry!”
Consider the anecdote of Israeli spy Eli Cohen who was stationed in Syria for his espionage work, to which he performed spectacularly, such that the Syrian Government offered him to take up the responsibility of the chief adviser to the Ministry of Defense. His family was left behind in Israel, where none knew about the risky business he was involved in. Days, months and years passed, and Eli continued serving his homeland in a foreign country, breathing trouble every moment. Yet, giving up was not his cup of tea. He continued his expedition only to get caught and executed by the Syrian government.
Yet, in his final letter to his wife Nadia, Eli wrote. “I am begging you, my dear Nadia, not to spend your time weeping about something already passed. Concentrate on yourself, look forward to a better future.” (Source: Wikipedia). His last wish was to see a Rabbi (a Jewish priest) which was granted while he was hanged till death. COURAGE!
Courage doesn’t necessarily lie in passing on harsh comments, or in showing off what a gazillionaire you are. It lies in embracing and sticking to the way of life, as you have carved out for yourself. As #CourageIsBeautiful!
