You Can’t Edit a Blank Page

Something that I read this morning both intrigued and provided me with a relevant topic to pen down today’s blog. The writeup mentioned that one could always have the option to edit a bad copy, yet no one could edit a page that’s left blank.

Although English Literature had always been my favourite subject, and more than solving questions and answers, or quadratic equations, I’d be inclined towards writing essays, yet that wouldn’t be an everyday affair. Years later from then, where I guess, only guess that I have discovered my true calling, I’ve been told repeatedly that writing must be an everyday affair. Now, even though the process isn’t as repetitive as daily, yet it’s being repeated quite frequently I could say.

Truth to be told, initially, this entre practice seemed erroneous to begin with, yet when you’d sway yourself along the process, you’d be discovering that it’s quite enjoyable. Through this process also, the very fact that writing a page is time-consuming and tough, as you got to think of the proper words to be used, and how to frame them accordingly; yet when you do get there, it’s bliss. And, what follows thereafter is a plethora of joy, as they say that creation is enjoyable indeed.

On the other hand, the blank page that I was talking about would just be like something that’d not help get you anywhere, although I’ve heard that a blank canvas does help in producing impeccable art forms, yet that concept hasn’t applied to me in person, at least in terms of writing yet.

Now, to think about the same, suppose I am writing on a topic like Anti Semisticism, one that requires immense concentration, and the correct use of words, basically some form of writing where you couldn’t be allowed to get up for attending a phone call even, and when after several attempts you see that the output isn’t as great as you had expected, all you could do is contemplate whether a blank page would have been better than this frivolous writeup. But, then again when you ponder over it, you notice that in this situation, you could at least have the ability to edit the same; had it been a blank page, you’d just be staring blankly.
