My Mission On Earth
Hi there, dear readers, how has this week been treating y’all? For me, the first two days went a tad crazy and seemed like the world was turning upside down, but everything turned out fine eventually. I had managed to churn out some free time and dedicated it to reading.
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho has always been my all-time favourite and I recently read a blog that highlighted several aspects of the book. But, the one that I most resonated with was the following:
“Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth.” What a beautiful piece of thought right there! Honestly speaking, I never thought of things like that.
In my case, I can say that there were and are ample amounts of times when I just feel left out, with no one and nothing around. I would be slogging for 16-17 hours a day when I’d see others partying around. All those times I’d wonder as to why do I not have a normal life like them.
Why can’t I party like them? Or even think like them? Why am I so very chained to this hustle culture? And countless such questions would keep on surrounding me. Until I came across this post and it made me feel like the best. Then again, it got me wondering. Really? Do things actually work that way?
Was my desire to excel and be the absolute best really originate in the soul of the universe? Is there any such thing? Is that really my mission on earth? Should I really believe that someone else and not me was the originator of this idea?
Is this really my mission on earth? You know one of the quotes from the book also said that when a person really wants something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
Even though I am not sure if there’s any truth in any of these statements and I am yet to try that out, one is for sure there is an external force which is driving us all. And, it is perhaps that which is leading us towards our goals.
Why else would be so determined to reach our goals when everyone else out there is making merry? Why would we feel like it is a life-and-death opportunity for us to succeed when no one else around us feels so?
Because we are special and we are the chosen ones. The universe sees the potential in us and makes sure that we are dedicated to it. This is our very mission on the earth, to be unique, to be special and to achieve all that no one had even dreamt of. We have made it this far and I am sure will make it further.
For this is what the universe wants and this is what we are actually made for, and will not stop till we do, for this is what our mission on earth is!
